At Southbank Capital Consultants, we understand that securing the right funding is a critical milestone for any growing business. We work with startups and SMEs to help them prepare for, and gain access to, a variety of equity and growth capital sources, including Angel Investors, Seed Funds, Family Offices, Private Equity, and Venture Capital Firms.

Our role is that of a business consultant and unregulated introducer. We do not provide regulated investment advice, act as a placement agent, or arrange investments on your behalf. We help you get ready and make the right connections, and the investment relationship and any resulting decisions are always yours to own and manage directly.

Our services are focused on three areas, preparing you for investor scrutiny, identifying the right investors for your business, and facilitating introductions to those investors.

Investor Pitch Preparation and Optimization (IPPO)

Securing investment requires more than a good idea, it requires a compelling, well-structured case that can withstand rigorous investor scrutiny. Our IPPO service is a consultancy offering designed to help you develop and refine the materials you will use to present your business to prospective investors.

Working closely with your team, we can assist with:

  • Reviewing and stress-testing your business proposition against typical investor criteria
  • Developing financial models and forecasts to support your funding narrative
  • Preparing and refining pitch decks and business plans that clearly articulate your value proposition

This is a business consulting service. The outputs, pitch decks, financial models, business plans, are your materials, prepared to your instructions. We do not advise you on whether to raise capital, how much to raise, or on what terms. Those decisions rest with you and your professional advisers.

Strategic Investor Identification and Engagement (SIIE)

Understanding which investors are the right fit for your business is one of the most valuable steps in any fundraising process. Our SIIE service provides structured research and intelligence to help you build a targeted, informed approach to investor outreach.

We conduct in-depth research to identify investors whose investment criteria, sector focus, and deal history align with your business profile. Our deliverables include:

  • Curated, targeted investor lists tailored to your funding stage and sector
  • Detailed investor profiles covering investment criteria, typical deal sizes, and portfolio history
  • Actionable intelligence to help you prioritise and sequence your outreach

This is a research and information service. We identify and profile potential investors for you, the outreach, relationship-building, and any investment discussions are conducted directly by you.

Investor Introduction and Outreach Support (IIOS)

Knowing which investors to approach is only half the battle. For most businesses, the harder challenge is finding the time and bandwidth to actually reach them. When no one in your team is employed for that purpose, proactive investor outreach is often the first priority to slip.

Our IIOS service exists to close that gap. Building on the targeted investor lists developed through our SIIE service, we conduct direct, professional outreach to prospective investors on your behalf, opening the door to a conversation about potential funding or investment. Our deliverables include:
